Challenge

Dart Warehouse was unable to grow its business because of limitations imposed by its in-house logistics application-it did not have the capability to handle enterprise-level customer orders and expand its business.

Dart chose the IRMS warehouse management solution from Progress partner Integrated Warehousing Solutions (IWS).

Results

• Dramatic improvement in productivity: In the first year, Dart achieved a 50% productivity gain. 157 employees do in a 9-5, Monday-Friday business week what once took 400 employees 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• Reduced shrink rate well below industry average: Dart has reduced its projected shrink (loss) rate from an industry standard of 5% to an unbelievable .005% on $50 million of inventory.
