• Improved efficiency: Today the company processes more than 6,000 orders each year for its growing customer base - all with new levels of efficiency.
• Improved Customer Service: Faster order turnaround is one area in which Northwire has been able to improve its customer service. With customers seeking to aggressively control their own costs, they are maintaining extremely low levels of inventory. This, in turn, forces Northwire to process more orders more quickly.
• Improved Costs: In addition to its customer service improvements, Northwire now has immediate access to a wealth of data on its production process. Machinists simply enter start and stop times and production footages for each order. From that information, production supervisors and managers can easily analyze and compare run rates, scrap ratios, and other performance measures for each operator, shift, raw material, and component assembly.
